IN MICROCOSM : ARTISTS FOR THE FOREST 2025

This exhibition showcased the art created by the artists at The Forest Art Festival 2024 in Ladakh, as well as the works created in their studio.
In 2024 artists from Japan and India gathered in Ladakh, to create art, in the spirit of a prayer for the future of Ladakhʼ s ecosystem. This was an extension of the Forest Art Festival 2023 where thousands of saplings were planted together with the people of Matho, Ladakh, and its monastery. The initiative did not end there; it focused on nurturing the regeneration of the forest, while creating a local community that has found an expression through art.
With ARTISANSʼ as a co-sponsor of this project, we hope to share its impact and expand the network of support in India, to track the regeneration of the forest together!
